Mission Vision Values
“To accept one’s past—one’s history—is not the same thing as drowning in it; it is learning how to use it. An invented past can never be used; it cracks and crumbles under the pressures of life like clay in a season of drought.” James Baldwin
C-Links Mission
The mission of Cultural Links LLC is to utilize the power of arts and culture to bring equity to global education and transform positive, intercultural and socio-emotional sensibilities of humankind.
Only 3.9% of global education abroad programs center on Africa while 65% of university programs are designed for host countries in Europe, (Open Doors, 2017).
Research reveals 5.9% of all undergraduates who studied abroad from US universities in 2017 were African American in comparison to 71% of their White student peers.
Through our innovate performing arts, global education curriculum, and heritage abroad programs, Cultural Links supports the capacity of schools, businesses, and organizations to develop leaders who are globally-conscious and socially mindful.
Our goal is to increase the number of disadvantaged communities who travel the globe. Our approach is intergenerational in that we focus on African American male undergraduates, students of color, and disproportionately impacted seniors.
C-Links Vision
To connect, discover, and build capacity for cultural exchange and business opportunity around the world.
